I started Harry Potter no. 1 a few days ago and  am on page number 4...... its hooked me all ready. I think harry potter is a good book because it has a mix of gonras and it helps with your imagination when reading a spesific or descriptive piece.

Going places in a book

30/08/17

Going places in a book

Reading, reading and more reading is what I want to do.

I am currently reading Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets.

I think this book is a good reading and is helping me with my vocabulary and knowledge within reading.

So far in my mind blowing book, my favourite part has been the flying car (Oww, I want one).

In this book I have to say that Ron, Harrys best friend, has to be the most couragous with his actions because he flew the car to get Hary..... which  was an intriguing part in  the start of the book to me.

The Harry Potter series is exploding with MAGICE, ADVENTURS and MISTORY that's why i'm overloaded with eage to read it.

When I open the many pages of a book, I just can't stop myself vanishing into the story  to have fun. Then when i'm ready to leave I open my eyes and i'm in my cossy safe room again.

I think I have been practicing very hard to achive this goal and I can't wait to know them all.

At first I found it chellenging to do some of the times tables,  but now I am feeling a bit more confordent with them

Proud of my project presentation

22/08/17

Proud of my project presentation

Before starting the project presentation I was nervous to show my work because I don't like talking in front of people.

When it did begin the Parents came in first for 20 minutes or so, then all the LC4 students came in as well.

The first people to come and see my project was Tiarna, Aliyah and their new friend Jesica.

Tiarna loved my project, witch was surprising to me because I thought she would make fun of me.... but she didn't witch made me happy.

Elephant research project

  17/08/17

Elephant project

For my term 3 project I have been working on Elephants

My main question was: In 100 years will we only be able to see Elephants in a zoo?

I have done lots of research  question and I think that this project was a great journey!

The Process:

1. The very first step is to pick a topic you want your project to be about
2. You then pick a main researching question the small questions to help solve the main question
3. After you have got all your research you summarize it into your own words
4. presentation is the next step, you need to think creativly and start putting it together E.G a book
5. Show your great work

Creative writing LOST

Creative writing

LOST!!!!!!!

For my latest  creative writing piece i am doing a story called LOST.
This story is about a 5 year old girl and she fell into a train and was lost. Untile a couple find her and look after her till she finds her family again.

Goals for this writing:
1. For this creative writing, I want to practice using descriptions
2. In Lost I want to  give the reader emotion and feeling as if they were the character.

I really hope to achieve these  goals and share my creative writing once done.

Elephant Project

8/08/17

Elephant project

For my term 3 project I am doing it on the subject of elephants and weather or not they will still live in the wild in 100 years!

Some of my project goals/dispositions are
-  Try even if it gets hard
-  Identify my next steps
-  Use evidence to support my research

The research part of it is a challenge because it is a long process of finding a good site, highlighting the right information, summarizing it and then working on the Presentation.

But for my presentation I think I will do a small book with all my information.

Brainy Adds

My maths group is called BRAINY ADDS and in this group we are learning decimals and how to plus and take them away.

I think i'm doing well in this group and making lots of progress towards stage 7 maths.

I hope to next be in stage 8 maths and continue.

Learn it project

Learn it project

For this term I am doing a project called LEARN IT. At first I was the only one in my class of 75 students to have picked a learn it project but that does not bother me at all.

When I picked my Project subject i picked The effect on animals habitats by human kind.
Learn it is when you do research on a subject and do a report once you are done.
Iv'e decided to do a book to show my end piece of work.

I just cant wait to finish and show my good work to my friends and family!

Learning on holiday

1/08/17

Learning over seas

In the term 2 holidays Mum tock me and Tiarna over seas with the rest of my close family to Fiji to celebrate  my Popa's  70th birthday.

When we landed and a van was tacking us to a boat to get to the island we were staying at, I saw lots of houses that were tiny and in a bad condition and little children doing the racking and washing in the boiling heat. To me this was very sad and when we drove passed  a school it didn't look like schools back home, it was small and did not look like could fit many kids, but ablest they have schools.

As we drove on I also noticed that there culture is very different to ours. When we got to the island a couple of days later there was a cava ceremony and cava is like wine to them and not only that by you had to pick up the bowl in a special way. Most of the staff on the island Spock Fijin to their other staff friends which was annoying because you just want to know what they are saying.

The minute  we landed we all noticed that everyone was so kind and so were the people on the island. They smiled at your arrival and when we arrive some of the staff played a song for welcome.

On the island they also had 4 turtle pools full of an endangered species of turtle and on our 2nd day on the island the had a turtle relic of 5 turtles with was amazing to watch. This made me realise that they  care about saving this species
